Our Story

The beginning

In the Autumn of 2000, our sister company, Bahrain Metal Casting & Plastic Factory (CASTTEK) participated in the ”Made in Bahrain Exhibition”.

The exhibition was inaugurated by H.R.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa. Since the theme of the exhibition was made in Bahrain. We hoped to present a simple gift that reflects Bahrain’s rich heritage. To our astonishment, what was available in the market was mainly imported. In spite of Bahrain’s ancient history there was no real craft or investment particularly from the private sector to reflect Bahrain rich and ancient history, particularly, the “Dilmun Era”, which dates to more than six thousand years. Thus, the decision was made to make nine Dilmun Seals in our factory as a gift to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister.

Upon noticing this market niche, we have accepted the challenge of reviving Bahrain’s rich heritage, from the Dilmun Era (the forgotten civilisation) to this date, and exposing it to the world, thus Heritage Centre was born.

Mission statement

Bahrain enjoys a rich and ancient history that dates back to more than 6000 years of recorded history, particularly the ‘Dilmun Era’. This great civilization that has played a major role in the development of ancient history is little known to the world – it is indeed a forgotten civilization. It is our honour and privilege to be part of the challenge of reviving this ancient civilization, reflecting Bahrain’s rich and ancient civilization, and to expose it to the world.

Heritage products

As the mists of time rise on recorded history, Bahrain’s rich heritage unfolds to reveal the Dilmun civilization c 2500-500 BC. The Dilmun seals are tiny works of art of exceptionally high quality. The designs which are engraved on the face of the seals are little masterpieces, vibrant, alive and beautifully conceived. Heritage Centre manufactures and produces replicas of the Bronze Age seals, with the kind permission of the National Museum in Bahrain. This range of products, so carefully manufactured, give everyone the opportunity to own a part of Bahrain’s rich heritage of buried secrets from a bygone age.

As well as creating heritage products, we also produce all types of gifts from Bahrain’s ancient past to modern day Bahrain, such as landmarks, medals, trophies, professional binding and much more besides.
